It's International Development Week!

International Development Week (IDW) runs from February 5 to 11, 2017 to celebrate Canadian contributions to poverty reduction in the developing world, and engage Canadians to learn about those efforts. Since its inception in 1991, IDW has become a uniquely Canadian tradition.

Parent sponsorship no longer first-come, first-serve

As of January 3rd, 2017, Canadians can fill out an online form to indicate their desire to sponsor a parent or grandparent. From those forms, immigration officials will randomly draw 10,000 individuals who will then be asked to submit full applications within 90 days.

Cyberbullying and cyberstalking among 15-29 year old Canadians

Based on data from the 2014 General Social Survey, this is the first Statistics Canada study that examines the characteristics associated with being a victim of cyberbullying or cyberstalking and various indicators of trust, personal behaviour and mental health.
